Setting appearance options

The options on the Appearance tab control redline display, Navigation view pane display, shortcut menu customization, and other options.

The following table lists the options and their descriptions.

Appearance options
Option Description

Redline width

The width in pixels to display redlines in the viewer window. Values greater than 1 display redlines bolder than most other drawing entities except wide polylines. Click Viewer Options to set other options.

NEW  

Show renditions by default

Enables the display of renditions in the viewer and shows them by default instead of the source document.

Note    Even if this option is cleared, renditions will be shown in the BlueCielo viewer by default if you have not been granted the View Content privilege.

Show grid lines

Displays horizontal grid lines between items in Navigation views, similar to a spreadsheet.

Enable Explorer view inside work areas

Enables selection of the Explorer view when the current context is a work area. This displays the location of the work area documents within the Main area folder structure. The property values of documents that are not assigned to the current work area appear in gray to signify that actions taken on them will be executed in the Main area.

Tip    This option is useful for assigning documents to the current work area without having to switch contexts between the work area and the Main area.

Column headers

Click Font to change the font used to display column headers.

Scope

Click Font to change the font used to display document property values.

Under change

Click the color swatch to select a different color for the property values of documents in workflows.

In other work areas

Click the color swatch to select a different color for the property values of documents residing in other work areas (including the Main area).

Shortcut menus

Click Configure to select commands to appear on the various shortcut menus.

Show user initials in status bar

Displays your initials in the status bar instead of your logon name.

Warn when opening a document in a read-only workflow state

Displays a warning message if you attempt to open a document that cannot be saved to the vault due to its current workflow status.
